We understand how important is it for you to be in touch with your child while your loved one is away. So there are few communication options:
- First of all, there is a designated landline +1 (607) 363 7935 that you can use to contact children while they are in the camp. Please limit your calls to the timeframe of 9:30 AM till 9:30 PM. They can alsocall you back; these calls are free within the US. Children from foreign countries can purchase an inexpensive ($5) IP-phone card for international calls. These cards are available in the office.
- We do remind children to call their parents and grandparents on a regular basis. Please remind your children to call you back as well. Don't be alarmed if no one picks up when you dial. This only means that campers are already talking to their parents on the phone, and you got to the second line to which the children never switch. You just need to dial again until you get response. Unfortunately, it may take a while, but If the line is not busy, an adult staff member will always pick up.
- Oldie but goodies - you can send a letter via regular mail. Here is the postal address of the Camp “Leader”: 3023 State Highway 30, East Branch NY 13756. Please indicate your child’s name on the envelope and Summer Camp “Leader” at the top of the address line as well. You can also provide the team counselor with a few stamped envelopes with a return address to have the child write you a letter from the camp.
- You can also mail small parcels to your child (such books or clothes if necessary) using the same mailing address: 3023 State Highway 30, East Branch NY 13756. Please be advised that any food products, drinks, medicines, electronic gadgets, piercing, cutting, and explosive items are not allowed. Child's name and Summer Camp "Leader" at the top of the address line should also be indicated.
Please be advised that the use of electronic gadgets, mobile phones, and other devices in the Camp "Leader" is limited to 1.5 hours a day! For the rest of the time, all phones and gadgets are to be stored in the camp office. Children are not allowed to keep electronic devices and cell phones! There is also a charge of $15 per week for using Wi-Fi and for storing devices in the camp office.
It is only your choice to let your child take a gadget to the camp and cover $15 per week or not to give any electronic devices at all.
Please refer to the "Mobile phones and gadgets"
Visiting hours are 11 AM to 5 Pm Saturdays and Sundays only. Please note that parents are allowed to stay in the camp for no more than three hours. Parents may also take their children out for a longer time or the whole day by completing and signing the release form in the camp office.
